Learning outcomes
On completion of this course you should be able to:
- Demonstrate the basic skills needed to form a sound and appropriate therapeutic relationship, recognise and begin to work with diversity, reflect on practice and carry out cognitive behavioural assessments of common human problems and mental state assessments.
- Demonstrate appropriate and effective utilisation of the psychotherapeutic relationship process and supervision with common human problems that includes higher order therapeutic awareness of their own and service user’s personal assumptions, values and beliefs and how they may influence the service users and psychotherapist’s interactions.
- Demonstrate structured and research based cognitive behavioural methods of working with a range of common human problems, synthesising and adapting their approach to meet the individual needs of service users with common human problems.
