The Community First Aid course is designed to train members of the public that require basic first aid skills.

· Emergency management procedure
· Care cycle:
· Barrier devices
· Scene safety
· Scene survey
· Exposure protection
· Risk to rescuer
· Basic life support
· Clearing the airway
· CPR adult, child & infant
· Procedures
· Choking adult
· Primary survey & reassessment
· Recovery position
· Alternative ventilation
· Introduction to AEDs
· Life threatening conditions
· Shock management
· Severe bleeding

Duration Initial training: 4 hours Retraining time: Currently retraining for this course is to retake the full course after 3 years

Tuition Fees(Cost) £75

Other Information Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is no formal summative assessment for this course.
