Who The Course is for
The course aims to introduce students to computerised accounts, particularly the Sage account package. Students will produce an assignment covering the production of computerised accounting information and transfer knowledge to practical situations.
Course Content
- Set up a nominal accounts list
- Enter supplier details and opening balances into the computer system
- Enter opening trial balance
- Process purchase and sales orders
- Process purchase and sales invoices
- Complete a bank reconciliation
- Set up a fixed asset record
- Deal with bad debts
- Produce a VAT return
- Produce a Trading Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet.
Entry RequirementsLearning & Assessment Methods
Classroom assignment â€" 6 hours to complete.
Qualifications Gained
Candidates will receive an IAB certificate following successful completion of the course and assessment.
Progression Opportunities
Students may wish to progress onto a Sage Payroll course.
