Construction (Craft) Plastering Apprenticeship

• Duration:
  Two Years
• Level of Study:
  Intermediate (Level 2)
• Attendance:
  One day per week is the minimum requirement, although additional days can be included depending on the training needs of the business or individual.

Construction (Craft) Plastering Apprenticeship Entry Requirements Although there is no formal qualification required for entry, it is recommended that candidates have the ability to study at GCSE standard and have completed Maths or English based subjects or have achieved a basic construction award.
Candidates will require an interview and complete a skills assessment set by constructionskills. Candidates must be currently employed within the plastering industry.

Content
This training will develop practical and theoretical skills and knowledge to allow candidates to demonstrate a level of competence and be assessed so that they meet National Standards at NVQ level 2, covering area such as, health and safety, efficient work practices, move and handle resources, apply finishing plaster to background surfaces, produce internal solid plastering finishes, produce external solid render finishes.

Assessment
Candidates will be assessed through the use of examinations, practical and theory assignments.

Completion of a portfolio of evidence from assessment within the workplace will be required to complete the NVQ.

Progression
Once complete candidates can progress onto an Advance Apprenticeship in Plastering.
