Course Content:
This course will prepare building operatives/craftsmen/supervisors for the construction skills certification scheme.
Subjects studied include: Accident Prevention and Reporting, Health and Welfare, Manual Handling, Personal Protective Equipement, Emergency Procedures and First Aid, Fire Prevention and Control, Safety Signs and Signals, Noise and Vibration.

Working or preparing to work in the Construction Industry.

Aim:
This course is aimed at interested individuals who wish to know more about existing and new Health and Safety legislation. The target market is trades persons, general workers, local building control officers, housing inspectors and anyone who has to be on construction sites.

Trainee card (studying a college course) (all other CSCS cards require working toward VQ)

General Responsibilities, Accident Prevention and Reporting, Heath and Welfare, Manual Handling, Working at Height, Personal Protective Equipment, Emergency Procedures and First Aid, Safe Use of Hazardous Substances, Electrical Safety, Hand Held Equipment and Tools, Fire Prevention and Control, Safety Signs and Signals, Site Transport and Safety, Noise and Vibration, Excavations and Confined Spaces.
