The aim of this course is to successfully introduce new starters to SLAM, and to ensure that aspects of mandatory Training are covered on the course.

■ Hr in SLaM/Staff Side unions
■ Promoting Safe and Therapeutic Services Awareness
■ Basic Life Support Training
■ Awareness of the Recovery Approach
■ Clinical Risk Awareness
■ Mental Health Act Awareness
■ Safeguarding Adults Awareness
■ Introduction to Museums and Archives/
Governance and Patient Information/SUITE/RCN/
Counter Fraud and LSMS/Accommodation/
Occupational Health.

Required course for all new starters to SLAM
Non-clinical staff attend day 1and 2, Clinical staff attend days 1, 2 and 3.
Training methods employed on the course
Presentations, investigative learning and practical sessions.
Course materials and equipment
Candidates will be issued with their Trust Corporate Induction and Personal Portfolio at the event.
Follow up work if applicable
Candidates are required to complete their Trust Corporate Induction and Personal Portfolios and to complete their Local Induction if they have not already done so.
