The aim of this course is to advise delegates of their legal duties and responsibilities as Supervisors, Managers or Employers under the requirements of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the aims and objectives of the COSHH Regulations.
- Appreciate the need to control exposure to hazardous substances which arise out of or in connection with work, which is under the employer's control.
- Undertake an assessment of all work which is liable to expose any employee to hazardous solids, liquids, dusts, fumes, vapours, gases or micro-organisms.
- Appreciate the need for Supervisors, Managers or Employers to provide information, instructions and training to employees about the risks and preacautions to be taken.
- Understand the legal requirements regarding the compilation and implementation of satisfactory control procedures, provided in compliance with the COSHH Regulations.
