COSHH Risk Assessment
Introduction
The course will examine issues relating to COSHH assessments. Practical aspects of assessing will be examined. If you work with chemicals or are responsible for those who work with chemicals then this course is for you. In addition the course will include risks from chemical exposure during work, the use of suitable controls and record keeping in line with the legal requirement for risk assessment.
Delegates
The course is based on a fixed price for up to 8 delegates attending the same event.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify the vulnerable areas of the body for chemical entry.
- Explain the superficial defences of the body.
- Classify chemicals by hazard groups.
- List the properties of chemicals that increase the likelihood of entry to the body.
- Recite the hierarchy of controls to be used.
- State the key requirements of the control of substances hazardous to health regulations.
