Course Description

Tuition and practice in the delivery of practical and theoretical training of Lift Truck Operators, which ensure that successful delegates meet the necessary standards laid down by the Health and Safety Executive and RTITB.

Lift truck familiarisation Battery care and maintenance Practical demonstration skills Directing trainee practice Daily routines and maintenance Truck operating skills and corrective tuition Setting up, conducting and marking the Basic Operating Skills Test(s)

Note: Delegates should bring with them appropriate safety clothing and footwear.

Examinations

• Test(s) of Basic Operating Skills – Practical Test to Instructor Standard
• RTITB Examination of Practical Instructional Ability
• RTITB Examination of Instructor Associated Knowledge

Qualification
Delegates will be externally examined and if successful will be eligible to apply for entry to the RTITB National Register of Lift Truck Instructors for a period of 5 years.

Course start time 08.30

Duration
10 Day course for experienced operators that want to become instructors.
5 Day course Assimilation or Re-registration instructors.
3 Day course for regularly practicing instructors.

You are required to bring with you
National Insurance Number.
Basic Training certificate.
Steel toecap boots or shoes.
