Course Overview

Week 1 - Planning Your Promotion

Welcome to the course! This week we are introduced to the world of promotion and what kinds of promotions are out there for your business. We’ll also look at your business context for promotion - what are your organisational needs? What are your marketing needs? Next, we’ll start creating a promotional plan including what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it (within time and budget and with the right people involved).

Week 2 - Coordinating Your Promotion

Week 2 is all about coordinating your campaign: from allocating resources and people (including negotiating roles and responsibilities) through to identifying target networks and implementing your campaign.

Week 3 - Reviewing And Reporting On Your Promotion

This week we’ll explore how to review and report on your promotional activities - a key part of evaluating success and implementing continuous improvement. We’ll start with methods of gathering feedback data, analysing the information you receive and providing feedback to the team involved. Finally, we’ll look at ways to evaluating the benefits of promotional campaigns with a view of providing recommendations around future efforts to management. At the end of this week you will have all the skills you need to plan, implement and evaluate your own promotional campaigns. Congratulations!

Week 4 - The Finish Line! (And Where To Next...)

This week is the Finish Line - where you’ll share your Major Tasks and showcase all the hard work you’ve put in throughout the course. You’ll have the opportunity to also share your thoughts on your learning experience, any tips for future students and say goodbye in style.
