Creative Media Production - BTEC Level 2 Diploma

You will develop practical skills to enable you to produce your own media products, as well as developing your writing skills.

You will research and analyse media and explore writing for the media, as well as producing videos, print products and photography.

You will meet and work with a range of industry practitioners and will be attend a programme of film screenings essential to your course.

You will also look at careers in media industries.

You will need four GCSEs at Grade D or above, including English and Maths.

Alternatively, you will need a good reference from your school or employer, as well as a BTEC Level 1 qualification in Media, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Assessment is through a coursework portfolio.

If you gain a Merit or a Distinction, you can go on to the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production or a similar advanced course.

You can also begin investigating junior roles in television, film or print-media production.
