This course is designed to introduce students to the technological, creative and personal skills involved in working in the media industries.
Students will develop knowledge and skills for media careers and work towards the production of examples of a range of media products such as video, audio and animation.
You will gradually build up a range of grades from assignments that you complete, many of which are practical, hands-on forms of assessment, and are designed to replicate working practices in sectors of the media industry. Alongside the media units, students study ICT, literacy and numeracy to ensure they have all the necessary skills required by employers.

Course programme
All assessments are ongoing project based through continual assessment. There are no exams on this course so your qualifications arise out of the work that you do day by day, week by week.
This course is 14.5 hours per week over three days.
A majority of students progress to Level 3 courses in media related subjects such as Creative Media Production (UAL)
Requirements are one GCSE at grade C, supported by a number at grade D or E. An interest in media and a willingness to take part in creative projects is essential.
