Creative Writing

Course content:

Do you want to write but don’t know how to get started?
Are you already a writer who would appreciate the support of a writing group?
Creative Writing and Personal Development will explore ways of using writing to encourage personal growth and self understanding whilst increasing confidence in your writing.

We will use enjoyable writing exercises to capture unconscious imagery and recover spontaneity whilst developing natural ability and an aesthetic sense.
Together, in a safe, supportive environment we will explore the transformative power of writing and allow the possibility of working through personal blocks and challenges with constructive feedback.
This course will offer an opportunity to explore your self through the writing process and to develop your creative practice.

About the tutor: Judi Sissons is a practising writer and lecturer in Creative Writing. She has an MA with Distinction in Creative Writing and Personal Development from the University of Sussex. She has taught creative writing at the University of Hertfordshire for the past five years. Judi is a trained mediator and has a Certificate in Arts Therapies.
