The History Preparation for Undergraduate Study (Bridge Course) is a 12 week course which provides an opportunity for those with no previous qualifications to become a student on the BA History programme.In order to provide a comprehensive experience of life as an undergraduate, Bridge Course students receive full library and online access alongside attending seminars and lectures on a range of topics which reflects the wide-ranging module choice in the School of History.The course teaches the complexities of using documentary evidence through hands-on-experience, and provides further assistance on a range of study skills including creating presentations and essay writing.Previous Bridge Course students have continued their intellectual journey by taking prominent roles as part of the thriving community of undergraduate scholars, going on to complete Masters Degrees, Post-Graduate Studies and as part of our innovative research projects.

Entry Requirement
All applications are considered on a case by case basis. The course is a 12 week preparatory course for those who wish to progress to undergraduate study in the School of History, but for a wide range of reasons, had a gap in their studies.
