Can be adapted to suit needs. Ideally a series of 1-2 hr sessions over a number of months i.e. 4 sessions in all.

Audience:

  • This is a mixture of learning aims relating to reading and appraising literature. It would build on existing knowledge related to research methods and would suit individual health professionals in their professional development or a department looking to develop its criteria for setting standards or treatment protocols based on current evidence
  • It would also suit those wishing to return to practice after a long break
  • It would suit those intending to take higher degrees or return to study in the higher education sector
  • It would suit staff wishing to set up a journal club or develop a research culture in the workplace
