The DAN O2 provider course trains you to manage pressure related injuries (diving accidents) and also trains you to handle O2 units efficiently, you will be taught how to help more than one injured Diver and provide Emergency O2 First Aid while activating the Emergency Services.

About this course

The minimum age for the course is 12 years old and you should also have prior Emergency First Response training (see PADI MFA course).

Course programme

The course will increase your confidence as a diver and your care for other people and of course yourself.

Throughout the program you will be learning general skills to use in the unlikely event of an emergency, outlined in five modules as follows; anatomy and physiology, signs and symptoms of emergencies requiring oxygen, benefits of O2 in diving emergencies, dive accident statistics and emergency O2 delivery equipment.

Divers Alert Network is a non-profit diving organization and membership is available through Scuba Zone.
