Course programme

A successful interview, plus: • an audition • 4 GCSEs at minimum grade D including English Language and maths or equivalent • demonstration of an interest in the Performing Arts • prepared to work hard if you wish to progress to the next level of Company • be a team player • related work experience • some appropriate practical experience Course Content In phase 1 you will undertake skills building and industry training in all three art forms; Dance, Musical Theatre and Acting. In phase 2 you will perform in-house the work you have rehearsed and in phase 3 you will perform rehearsed work for a public audience. A successful year in this company is rewarded with a Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts. How will I be assessed? All classes and activities are practical, but there is also a regular and challenging range of supporting written work required. You are taught a full range of performance and arts management skills; these are developed and assessed by internal and external assignments. Each unit is made up of one or more assignments. You are given a grade for each unit and all these are listed on the final Diploma. Progression The company operates over the course of 1 year, and successful completion works as a foundation for further study should you wish to audition to join company 2 in your second year, or to employment Fees • If you are aged 16-18 as of 31st August on the year of enrolment - no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31st August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases, please contact us for full information.
