This is a one day CPD course designed for learners of holistic massage who wish to progress to competent practice of deep tissue massage and gain a Practitioner Certificate. Learners will gain the necessary practical and theoretical skills needed to provide a safe and effective massage treatment using deep tissue techniques to professional standards.

About this course

• Demonstrate basic Deep Tissue skills using supporting strokes .
Demonstrate safe practice using different client positioning including side lying.
• Show the correct use of posture suitable to give an effective deep tissue treatment.
• Demonstrate basic palpatory and myofacial techniques to determine areas of tension/trigger points to focus on in your routine.

Please bring massage oil, massage couch cover and 2 large towels. You must wear a professional uniform for your practical exam/assessment

The exam/assessment fee is included in the course.
This fee is non-refundable and the exams/assessments must be taken on the date set by the Institute.

• Introduction to palpation and Trigger Point technique.
• Working with the client in different positions including side lying,
• Hands free techniques,
• Posture and use of breath : focusing on safe practice and effective treatment.

Presentation, practical demonstration, pair work, small and large group work, practical work. This will be an intense practical course set over two sessions.
