Objectives

This half-day course follows the UK Resuscitation Guidelines for training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator, as per current guidance from the HSE.

· Safety & legal aspects of defibrillation

· What is an AED?

· Application and practical training in the use of AED

The current UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines recommend that the skills should be refreshed at least once a year, and preferably more often.
