You should try to accommodate with the students from the host school before your arrival so you can look for their exchange students who want to go into your University town and exchange with them. Academically, it is a great University with all the facilities to offer to the students.

The better way to know quickly people in your first days and to be always surrounded by foreigneirs which is a good oportunity to improve the language of the country.I was in Borden Court residence, which is not in the accomodation possibilities offered by the University.

The academic support is amazing and there is a lot to learn by living alone in a foreign country. That will shape you and your way of thinking in a very different way. The library is very extensive and the academic are good.

In the beginning I faced many problems because of my mother tongue in social situations especially but after the time the things have gone better and better.

Iam a student in Avenue campus. It has got the great old good aura and small familiar campus and home like feel. Tutors were great and dedicated. I have also been to Southampton but I like the Avenue campus more. Southampton is more of a society thing and happening atmosphere and with free bus facilities, though good enough to be their as well.

Apart from this the university provides no appreciating support to students, the courses are poorely designed. Unnecessary dessertion assignment are compulsory to do and much more unpleasant things.

The language faculty in Southampton is very close-knit supportive group of teachers that offers great academic life to the students also with emotional support throughout their degree course. I have received a lot of help and support from my university to help me settle down comfortably in the new environment.
