I am Paul, German/Amercian 1st year student. I was born in America, then I moved to Australia with my family and a few years ago I moved to Germany. I found out about the program because I randomly went to a fair in Hamburg and walked up to the Windesheim stall. The recruiter asked what I was interested in. I said I was looking to work in non-profit and development. He said that Windesheim was perfect for me then.I think I was attracted to the program because overall I didn’t see anything I didn’t like. During my gap year, I took the time to find out what I liked. I travelled for 11 months. I taught English in Vietnam, backpacked through Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Got a job in Australia. Spent my holiday in Fiji. Did voluntary work in New Zealand. Then travelled to Chile and Ecuador to keep up my Spanish and finally I visited my sister in New York. And now I’m here.

My name is Quincy. I am a third year student and doing the Value Creator at the moment. For the Value creator my group and I choose the topic of gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and feminism. In my hometown and during my youth I saw a lot of sexism and that feminism isn’t something that is taken seriously and rather seen as a joke. I was really interested in this and therefore I felt a bit out of place. I think everyday sexism is still happening a lot and I think this is a big problem because I want everybody to have equal chances, to feel safe, be happy and to be able to be themselves.

To tell the truth, I am not really satisfied with the way of education which provides my University. I am always trying to and the lectures and classes as well. I believe that our professors are also well qualified mentors, but the way of teaching is quite poor. Opening up YouTube and showing related videos, or the common technique they just open slideshow and monotonously reading it. For me, I find it really boring. It is better to read this slideshow by myself and I will understand better than spending my time on this lectures, where I can not even understand properly what our lectures talking about, I am not even saying about the pronunciation. Secondly, in my first semester I had physical education, which took place in sports hall, and the problem was that our trainer kept skipping that days. I remembered only three or four times he came to train us, but the remaining days I had to go to the other private places. Unfortunately, I still face this troubles.

ENEB Business School’s programs are designed to facilitate the modern professional who has competing priorities but has the desire further their education and remain competitive. My industry requires that I work long hours to meet deadlines and I was able to utilize the knowledge earned from my Msc. Project Management in a very practical way. It taught me how to better manage my team, understand them better from a neurological perspective and ultimately get the best results while keeping them motivated. One of my concerns were the reachability of my Tutors but having experienced face to face and now distant learning, I can proudly say that my ENEB Tutors were excellent in communication and providing feedback.
