it's more expensive than Italy... But I'm sure you can manage to save money and have super fun at the same time.

Comparatively a cheap to live in, even eating out in local cafes was relatively cheap and a good alternative to a night out. All local transport costs are covered with a semester ticket you get from the University.

Since, its UK so living costs are not low. 800 pounds a month is the bare minimum to survive. Rent is approx 280-440 pounds a month (shared house) usually including internet, electricity and heat.
