Aim of course
THIS COURSE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO NEW ENROLMENTS This level 2 programme aims to provide a greater understanding of the various causes of dementia and in particular Alzheimer's disease. You will develop a broader knowledge of the many types of dementia, with emphasis of the individual nature of each person's condition. As you work through the course you will gain an important appreciation for the links between one's emotions, behaviours and the brain. You will develop an awareness of the difficulties a person suffering Dementia will face. Finally you will learn about the memory process, and how the loss of one's memory impacts upon the activities of everyday life.

What will the course involve?
The learner will need to undertake an initial induction and assessment to ensure their suitability for this mode of delivery.Once enrolled, the learner will work through the learning materials and complete the necessary assessments.Advice and guidance is available at any time from a qualified assessor.
