Course Content & Certificate
The course is designed to expand understanding and knowledge of the
principles, concepts and theories that underpin supervising and developing the practice of others, in an environment where participants can ask questions and share their knowledge and good practice.
Content: the values and aims of leading and supervising staff -
understanding and supporting reflective practice - theories of
developing practice - delegation for development - an
introduction to current approaches to leadership - conflict
management techniques - specific communication methods in
leading teams.
Successful completion of the course gives a Training for Care Certificate of
Attendance.

Tutors and Teaching
The course will be delivered by a member of TfC's Care Department.
Teaching is participative, with plenty of opportunities to discuss course related issues arising from your work.
