The Digital Administration Code (CAD) is a legislative act of the Italian Republic, precisely the legislative decree of 7 March 2005, n. 82. It constitutes an organic body of provisions that governs the use of information technology as a privileged tool in relations between the Italian public administration and the citizens of the State. Being a code, especially on a subject subject to continuous technological evolution, it is a regulatory text that is periodically and constantly updated. This document has the purpose of ensuring and regulating the availability, management, access, transmission, conservation and usability of information in digital mode using information and communication technologies to the within the public administration and in relations between administration and private individuals. Italy was the first EU country that, in 1997, adopted a law on the topics of digital documents: Bassanini 1, which had the aim of simplifying communication between public administrations and between public administrations and citizens, avoiding the redundant information and the clogging of the post office thanks to the use of information technology. Between 1997 and 2005 various regulations were issued, which were then reorganized into the Digital Administration Code, the only one that we will see as the current law; all these, from Bassanini 1 onwards, have gone to determine what the three concepts of electronic document, electronic signature and digital signature are,
