2. Course description This course specialises in the artistic and creative aspects of animation production. It is designed for the concept creator and 2D/3D animator with an eye for quality visual and conceptual development.  You'll need strong abilities in drawing, visual research and time-based concept origination, as well as an ability to learn the computer techniques required for animation production and editing.  The first semesters lay the groundwork for the innovative exploration of ideas.  Following semesters offer you the chance to gain professional experience through involvement with client briefs and professional work. The course will culminate in the proposition and execution of your own design brief which will be displayed in an end of year show.  Modules include: • graphic design and illustration • animation and games design • web design and delivery • interactive digital design applications • visual culture • sound and moving image • professional practice • critical review • studio practice • final major project proposal and research • final major project resolution

Entry requirements You will need a minimum of 48 points on the new UCAS tariff (120 on the old tariff) from: • at least two ‘A' Levels at ‘A2' with one a related subject • a BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma in a media, IT or art and design related area • International Baccalaureate  Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications, including an Access to HE Diploma within a relevant area, are welcome to apply.  You may be invited to attend an interview. 4.
