This course is suitable if you are interested in digital imaging or if you are already working in the industry. The subjects studied will enable you to gain experience and qualifications using industry standard image manipulation software (Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash) and input devices such as digital cameras and scanners. There are three levels available.

Description:
This course is suitable if you are interested in digital imaging or if you are already working in the industry. The subjects studied will enable you to gain experience and qualifications using industry standard image manipulation software (Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash) and input devices such as digital cameras and scanners. There are three levels available:
Beginners: Using input devices, understanding file formats (jpg, bmp, tiff) and image enhancement.
Intermediate: Photographic effects, using plug-ins, printing effects, publishing on the web.
Advanced: Develops the intermediate course in greater depth and introducing video input and editing.
Progression:
An HNC or City & Guilds e-Quals course.
Entry Requirements:
None, but experience of using a computer would be helpful.

Mode of attendance:
Beginners 6 weeks
Intermediate 12 weeks
Advanced 18 weeks (Start date will vary throughout the year) 3 hours per week for 1 year, day or evening (according to demand)
