Course programme

Industry looks to employ people who know what quality interactive media looks like.  This course offers experience in a wide variety of cutting edge areas.

This new two year Level 3 course is designed to focus on creative design and imagery in media products such a photography, graphic design and on-line technologies. You will undertake a variety of projects such as developing your photographic skills and producing portfolios of images that are ready for use by a client, and developing an understanding of how graphic design is used to educate, inform, sell and promote.

You will develop an understanding of how different media institutions operate in order to create products, and how they distribute and advertise their products to audiences. You will be involved in all stages of the production process from carrying out research and planning, to creating a product and applying editing techniques. You will have the opportunity to create a digital professional identity made up of the media work you have created over the course which you can share with prospective employers or higher education institutions.

This course offers valuable experience in preparation for a career in interactive media production including digital layout artists, web-developers and designers and digital graphic designers.
