This Build your own MA (BYOMA) short course will develop your knowledge of how multi-media journalists can effectively harness the internet and new technologies across print, radio, TV and online.
This course will enable you to engage effectively with the possibilities and challenges of the changing media environment, and to develop an analytical understanding of the latest developments in news production, including the use of blogs, wikis, social networking and user-generated content.
You will assess your own experience of converged production processes in the context of current research and industry practice, and evaluate your personal and professional development needs and expound innovative new approaches to future professional practice. Learning will be centred on the latest developments in journalism practice and will draw on your own experiences in the working environment.
