This course is more of a practical workshop than a tightly-structured class. As students will already be familiar with editing software (Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, iMovie), it focuses more on structure and creation of content through editing. We will learn to deal with commonly encountered problems - both technical and conceptual - that crop up in every editing process, and you will learn to advance your own work through analysing other people’s projects, formulating critical responses and assessing your own footage accordingly.
What previous students loved about the course:
“Expert analysis from an experienced tutor.”
“The discussion following each person’s showing of their films and getting to understand their approach.”
“The excellence of the tutor’s analytical skills when critiquing films.”
