Our Diploma in Bricklaying, Level 2, builds on the knowledge and key skills that you have learnt at Level 1 to offer you a deeper insight into the craft of bricklaying. Our course balances theory with some great hands-on experience. In our specially designed workshops you will learn how to build solid walling, cavity walling, thin joint masonry, cladding, and isolated and attached piers. You will look a variety of other building methods and construction techniques in much more detail than at Level 1. You will also learn and apply safe working practices, and begin to interpret working drawings for masonry structures. The Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying is an ideal progression from Level 1 Construction Diploma Brickwork. The Level 2 qualification builds on the knowledge and key skills that you have already developed in the Level 1. It offers you a deeper insight into the craft of bricklaying and will give you all the skills you need to become fully qualified and ready to enter the world of paid employment. Entry requirements To apply for this course you will need a Level 1 Construction Diploma Brickwork, and be genuinely interested in the construction industry.
