Course programme

You will work on live assignments gaining valuable work experience in:

  • Client briefs
  • Entering competitions
  • Teaching workshops
  • Visiting exhibitions
  • UCAS fairs and end of year university degree shows.

At the end of year you will have an excellent portfolio to showcase your skills and gain that valuable place on to level 3 Games Design or another chosen path.


Tutor reviews which are usually three weeks prior to their final assessments. Learners have regular tutorials where their assessment grades are checked.

Your course will be approved and examined by the University of Arts London (UAL) awarding body. UAL is the only specialist awarding body for art, design and creative industries in England. Their qualifications are nationally accredited.

Work experience is focused on building employability skills and understanding of professional working. This is through collaborative projects with game students, taking part in talks by visiting industry professionals, live competition briefs, off-site visits to museums and film exhibitions.


You can progress onto the Level 3 Games Design course.

Previous students have progressed to Degrees in games design, animation and illustration, special effects, product design and teaching.
