A short, informal interview will be required for entry onto this course.
Candidates are required to have a level of general education comparable to Pass grade GCSE or above or other qualifications at Levels 2 & 3.

Exam:
Students are continuously assessed throughout the course in the form of practical, written and oral assessment. Students should expect to study for at least 3 hours per week - homestudy.
There is also an externally assessed test paper for Health and Safety.

Professional Appearance:
Professional appearance is of paramount importance in the salon, to create the right image to attract clientele.
Females: white therapy tunic and white trousers. Low heel white court shoe, closed heel and toe. White cardigans only.
Males: white therapy tunic, black smart trousers, flat black lace-up shoes.
A high standard of personal grooming.
Hair must be neat and tidy,no coloured hair accessories.
Nails must not extend beyond fingertips and be unpolished. No artificial nails.
No jewellery.

This will be discussed at interview.
Duration:
Three hours per week for 30 weeks, plus a minimum of three hours home study per week, to include practical work.
