1. ABE Certificate
2. Two GCSE ‘A’ Levels together with four GCSEs at Grade
C or above, including English language and Maths
3. BTEC National award in relevant subjects
4. Three passes in LCCI Third level in relevant subjects
5. Four passes in RSA examinations at least two of which must be a Stage 3
6. Pitman’s Qualifications – Two passes at level 3 in relevant subjects

Diploma Part 1 in Business Information Systems (ABE)
Applicants should be recommended by two responsible persons. They must also have attained one of the following entry requirements:
1. ABE Certificate
2. Two GCSE ‘A’ Levels together with four GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English language and Maths
3. BTEC National award in relevant subjects
4. Three passes in LCCI Third level in relevant subjects
5. Four passes in RSA examinations at least two of which must be a Stage 3
6. Pitman’s Qualifications – Two passes at level 3 in relevant subjects
7. An ‘Access’ Certificate from a UK College of further Education
8. Any NCVQ approved qualifications at level 3 in relevant subjects
9. Such overseas qualifications which following University of
London guidelines may be accepted by the Registrar as being equivalent to the above.
Diploma 1
All four subjects must be passed.
• Computer Fundamentals
• Computer Applications in Business and Finance
• Principles of Programming
• A choice of either Organisational Behaviour or Financial Accounting.
Diploma 2
All three subjects must be passed.
• Computer Networking
• Systems Analysis and Design
• Information Systems Project Management.
Plus two from the following:
• Human Resource Management
• Marketing Policy
• Planning and Communication
• Managerial Accounting or Quantitative
• Methods for Business and Management.
Duration: 12 months.
Progression:
• ABE Advanced Diploma
• Advanced Diploma or year 2 BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems with the University of East London (UEL).
