This is a 6 days course that will teach you how to work as a Thai yoga massage practitioner. Certification is available to those who complete the course and successfully pass the assessment (held approximately 3 months after the end of the 6 days).

Thai yoga massage is a very different form of bodywork. It takes time and a lot of practice to learn the many different moves and approaches that are required to give a good Thai yoga massage. The structure of this Thai yoga massage course is designed to nurture and develop our students into becoming excellent practitioners. The whole routine is split into sections that can be learnt and developed through home practice. The importance of regular practice between teaching blocks cannot be overestimated and is an integral part of the course.

You will learn the fundamentals of Thai Yoga Massage and will be able to give a range of different treatments lasting between 1 hour and 90-minutes, as well as “taster” sessions. This includes Thai yoga massage in three positions (supine, prone and side-lying), and working the Sen (energy) lines. Classes are kept small to ensure close supervision (maximum student:teacher ratio of 8:1).

Course programme

Course review:

Learn the art of Thai yoga massage. Fully comprehensive course to practitioner level, accredited by FHT, and which qualifies you to practice here in the UK. Thai yoga massage is an energy-based massage that is a wonderful combination of acupressure, rocking, and yoga stretches - and is often referred to as lazy-man's yoga.

This 9 day course is an intensive weekend course spread over 4 months. You will be required to put your new learning into practice and really hone your skills through the practice of home-study and case-studies.

The structure of this course is designed to nurture and develop our students into becoming excellent practitioners. The whole routine is split into sectsions that can be learnt and developed through home practice. The importance of regular practice after learning in the classroom cannot be overestimated and is an integral part of the course.

Every Thai yoga massage taught session includes two demonstrations of the sequence; each student gets many opportunities to receive a sequence from the tutor throughout the course. The sequence is then demonstrated in small, "bite-size" segments which the students practise on each other under close supervision. In addition to the taught sessions, students will receive written hand-outs including short descriptions and colour photos.

Still relatively new to this country, you have the opportunity to become one of only a small number of practitioners in Thai yoga massage - a type of massage which is in increasing demand.

All the in-person teachings are accompanied by professionally filmed videos to help you in your practice at home.
