Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
This programme has been developed as an introductory study to the areas of travel and tourism to provide students with a sound foundation from which they can progress onto the Diploma subject of Travel, Tourism and Hospitality. It is designed to establish an awareness of concepts and perspectives relevant to the understanding of travel and tourism industries and to give students a framework from which to analyse the various aspects of these industries.
Syllabus
The four compulsory subjects are:
Introduction to Business Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Introduction to Accounting Introduction to Business Communication Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required but applicants must demonstrate competence in the English language by the attainment of one of the following (or equivalent):
British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English/Upper Advanced Certificate in English. LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1 st or 2nd level.
Pitman/City & Guilds - English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL)/English for Business Communications. RSA (OCR) - English language Stage 2.
Or Confirmation by their college of equivalent standard in the use of English. Qualification: Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Level4
