Course overview This course is aimed at candidates that have completed the Diploma in Wood Occupations, Level 1 and wish to progress. It covers the following areas of wood occupations: safe working practices, health and safety communicating with others, effective communication within the construction industry building methods, how we build and design our structures basic woodworking joints, basic joints used in the industry how to maintain and use hand tools, basic hand skills and knowledge of hand tools set up and use portable hand tools, safe use of power tools and their uses. Entry requirements Students will be required to have a Level 1 qualification in construction.
