  • Do your reserach before you come along and jump into a course i would reccomend that you take the time to look into the course properly and check that it is for you and will fullfill your expectations. as once you start it a pain to change courses. The same goes for the accomodation choose carefuly Overall good.

  • It is a great city to live in as as student the lecturers and tutors are always willing to help and especially the other members of staff. Especially the student services. It is an expensive city to live in but theres plenty of part time jobs to enhance your whole uni experience aru was definitely a good choice.

What I would highlight: I am enjoying studying here. It has taken me a little while to adjust to uni life as moving away from home has been a bit stressful. I have made lots of good friends though and I am looking forward to moving into a shared house with 3 of them instead of the halls that I am in at the moment

Full description

Our Drama and English Literature course is ideal if you’re fascinated by both subjects and want to pursue a career in fields such as teaching, journalism, television and radio, and more.

Our Drama modules focus on 20th-century and contemporary performance practice. You’ll work on public productions as well as smaller scale projects – sometimes alongside students from other courses, developing collaborative approaches to your creative work.

Meanwhile, our English Literature modules will allow you to balance your study of traditional writers such as Shakespeare, Milton, Wordsworth, Dickens and Woolf with an exploration of genres such as modern science fiction, children's literature and contemporary women's writing. Your choice will grow from an introduction to English literary history in Year 1, to modules on related subjects such as film, philosophy or writing (creative or journalistic) in years 2 and 3, all supported by our highly-experienced teaching staff.
