Year 1:

• Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 1 and 2: Analysis and Grammar
• French Language
• Introduction to French Literature (one unit)
• Shaping Contemporary France

Year 2:

• Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 3 and 4: Critical and Generic Contexts
• French Language
• One, two or three optional units

Year 3:

• Year abroad

Year 4:

• Approaches to Performance and Screen Studies 5: Paradigms and Perspectives
• Independent study through Dissertation or Essay and Practice or Practice Placement in the creative industries (subject to availability)
• French Language
• One, two or three optional units (assessed by dissertation or exam)

Entry Requirements

Subjects required at A Level or equivalent

• AAA - ABB. Grade B in French*

14-19 Advanced Diploma

• Grade A overall in the Diploma in Creative and Media to include grade B in A-level French (ASL)*

BTEC

• DDD - DDM*

Access

• Pass Access to HE Diploma with at least 33 credits at Merit and / or Distinction*

SQA

• SH: AAAAB-AAABB to include French
• AH: AB, to include French

Welsh Bacc

• Pass Advanced Diploma with AB at A-level to include French

IB Diploma

• 37 - 33 points to include 6, 6, 6/5 at Higher level and to include French

EB

• Average 85 - 77% with 8 in French

IELTS

• 7.0 in all parts

Subjects required at GCSE or equivalent
Five passes to include Mathematics and English

Selection:
UCAS form and interview

Deferred Entry:
Considered, but limited number of offers made each cycle. Candidates called to interview should expect to justify their plans, and explain how their application will be strengthened by deferring
