On this short intermediate course you will learn professional drawing techniques using the tools in illustrator. You will learn how to use the anchor point guides, the pen tool and custom brushes to create inking effects, build flat colour areas using Live Paint, create depth using gradients and how to cast shadows using the knife tool.

About this course

The latest professional equipment and software are available for your use throughout the course. It would be useful to bring a memory stick (or portable hard drive – please note PC formatted hard drives can be read by Apple mac computers, but not written to.).

You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual assistance and hand-outs. Please note the City Lit uses Apple Mac computers in Animation, Cartooning, Digital arts, Film, Graphics, Illustration, Photography and Web design.
