2. Course description On this creative Mixed-Media course we will be looking at (and learning how to use) numerous ways to create pictures from the traditional paint/canvas, to modern day techniques such as stencil making and spraying. You will learn how to use ink as a drawing and painting medium, how to layer paint to achieve depth and feel, how to combine different mediums on the same sheet of paper or canvas, and how to create effective artworks that draw on techniques from around the world. The course will also feature tutor led technique demo's, smartboard examples of artworks + short artist videos to motivate and inspire your own work.

3. Entry requirements All AbilitiesWe welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs. Equipment required Bring whatever drawing materials you may already have purchased and a pad of A3 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), a box of assorted soft pastels soft rubber.
