Course programme
Our group will meet each week at a specific location in London. Every third week we will meet at Heatherley's for a painting and drawing workshop on a theme related to your outdoor work. eg 'Skies' or 'Buildings and Architectural Detail'. Each location will have an indoor option for rainy days, eg Trafalgar Square/The National Gallery or The River at Chelsea/Heatherley's School so that you may get on with your work whatever the weather. The focus will be on drawing in the first two weeks and aim towards a final summer project of an oil painting developed over three weeks. Drawing, oil pastel and watercolour are all encouraged and technical help will always be available.
Termly enrolment is possible for all courses and applicants must be over seventeen years of age. Fees are payable in advance for all courses and each course is devised for a limited number of students, so early enrolment is advisable. Students wishing to transfer from one course to another will be subject to a transfer fee. Fees are non-refundable. Please note: Heatherley School of Fine Art reserves the right to cancel, combine or reschedule courses, or adjust fees, or substitute lecturers as necessary.
Materials and School Shop
Easels, boards, printing inks and some sculpture materials are provided but students are expected to supply any additional materials needed. The School Shop stocks a range of art materials at reasonable prices.
