About this course

This is the middle course in the series and is a Level 2 course. It is very intensive. Many students starting out on Web Page design often decide to learn to use Dreamweaver first. This is a fast-paced course and applicants should be experienced with a range of PC software and comfortable with using file systems. Students should have prior knowledge of Dreamweaver.

Information about the course

How to design and create superb web pages and put them up onto the Internet using all the latest technology. This course teaches basic HTML as well as the WYSIWYG design to give all the necessary skills in Web Site Design.

Course content

This course builds on the skills developed in Level 1 and introduces such features as Flash, cascading style sheets and preparation of images. A brief introduction to PHP and SQL are also included. By the end of the course, students should be able to create a small web site, with linked pages, using various methods and be able to upload their pages to a server.

Additionality

A home computer, with access to the Internet, is compulsory. The course does have some homework, which typically involves creating web sites or learning some new technology on your own. Students should have access to a copy of Dreamweaver and a suitable graphics package.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

Course: Dreamweaver Level 3.

Employment: Many jobs available. Many students have set themselves up in business as either full time or part time web designers. Many students are involved with web technology as part of their jobs and this gives them a good grounding in the skills necessary.

Payment options: Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
