Introduction Who Should Participate:
For drivers who can show a broader competences and be considered as professional Goods Vehicle Drivers. Optional units give candidates the opportunity to show competence in other areas.

Course Units Minimum Units Required:
All 8 mandatory units and 2 optional units are required for successful completion of this NVQ.

Mandatory Units:
· Driving the Vehicle in Restricted Spaces
· Driving the Vehicle Safely and Efficiently on Public Roads
· Monitoring the Loading of the Vehicle by Others
· Unloading the Vehicle
· Completing Pre-driving Preparations
· Maintaining the Safety and Security of the Load, Self and Property
· Maintaining Awareness of Driving Conditions
· Operating the Vehicle Systems

Optional Units:
· Obtaining Information on the Delivery and Collection of Loads
· Coupling and Uncoupling the Vehicle
· Planning the route and Timings for the Delivery and Collection of Loads
· Loading the Vehicle

Course Outcome:
Successful achievement of a nationally recognised qualification.
