The use and misuse of alcohol and other drugs is one of the more controversial issues in our society, and often a source of conflict between generations and between sections of society. It is a growing concern and often hidden from the people that could help most - Could you overcome these barriers?

During this Course you will study a foundation of relevant models and skills that will equip you to engage in purposeful coaching and mentoring conversations and relationship building.

If you think that you could help people tackle and recover from their dependence of illegal, prescription and over-the-counter drugs, alcohol or solvents then this home-based learning course is for you. Drug and alcohol workers help people tackle their drug, alcohol or solvent misuse problems. If you want to help people and you have an understanding of substance misuse issues, this job could be ideal for you.
