DSLR for video: shoot and edit

- set up your camera and insert and format an SD card
- use the automatic mode of your camera to record video
- understand how to use some of the manual settings to optimise your footage
- be aware of the use and application of different lenses
- import files into Adobe Premiere Pro
- perform a basic edit of your footage in Adobe Premiere Pro
- export your edited sequence as a playable QuickTime movie.

You will need to bring your own digital SLR camera with you to the class if you have one. If you don’t, some cameras will be made available to the group for use in the class The latest professional equipment and software will be available for your use throughout the course. It would be useful to bring a memory stick or portable hard drive – please note PC-formatted hard drives can be read by Apple Mac computers, but not written to.
