On this course you will learn how to shoot professional-quality HD video with your digital SLR camera, and edit a short video sequence in Adobe Premiere Pro. We'll show you how to set up your camera to the correct recording format, how to use the automatic settings, and introduce you to some manual settings to optimise your footage and accommodate different shooting conditions. We will also explore the use and of different lenses. After shooting your footage you will learn how to import your video files into Adobe Premiere Pro, edit a short video sequence and export your project as a playable QuickTime movie.What previous students loved about the course:“The wealth of information available from the tutor. About this course

You will need to bring your own digital SLR camera with you to the class if you have one. If you don’t, some cameras will be made available to the group for use in the class The latest professional equipment and software will be available for your use throughout the course. It would be useful to bring a memory stick or portable hard drive – please note PC-formatted hard drives can be read by Apple Mac computers, but not written to.

You will be taught using a range of techniques including workshops, short lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, tutorials, group and individual assistance and hand-outs. Please note we will be working on Apple Mac computers.
