Using the internet and video conferencing, students in years 7 – 12 connect to the Newcastle air fort for a unique, interactive learning adventure. From emergency
On mission day, students join one of our four crisis management teams:
• Air Strategy team
• Ground Strategy team
• Communication & Logistics team
• Plotting & Data team
Within teams students will use
Science knowledge and Maths skills to avert possible disaster. In a two hour period, the Air Strategy and Ground Strategy teams rally to analyse real-time data and determine the risks to the people on the aircraft, their analysis is then presented to determine the rescue plan. Throughout the mission the Communication & Logistics team is in live contact with Mission Control via video, audio and a "chat window". response teams and prepare for their mission by collecting and analysing relevant aircraft data.communication with the aircraft has been maintained, other key systems of the aircraft have failed.E- Mission - Flight 505
