Those who want to become Qualified Supervisors responsible for electrical work in domestic properties subject to Approved Document P (Electrical Safety - Dwellings) in England from 6th April 2013. This new qualification is suitable for candidates with limited practical experience as significant practical training suited to the practical competences required within the field have been included in the course.
he qualification is intended for those seeking to carry out domestic electrical work in association with, or for their main work activity, and wish to be nominated as a 'Qualified Supervisor' with one of the industry Competent Person Schemes, such as NICEIC, ELECSA or NAPIT using the 'Qualification Route' to satisfy the technical competences laid down within the new Electrotechnical Assessment Specification. Please ensure for familiarize yourself with the requirements for the registration of Qualified Supervisors as given in Appendix 4 of the EAS scheme document. We have decided to deliver this qualification in two Stages, as follows:- Stage 1 This initial stage will provide the learner with the skills and knowledge needed for ensuring the safety, quality and technical standard of the electrical installation work carried out by the person/enterprise.
