Early Childhood Program Administration

During the formative early childhood years, children need a classroom that functions like a learning playground. But they also need educators who make these classrooms come alive and program administrators who can assist educators in creating these environments.

The Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children (IAEYC) has identified criteria necessary for administrators to create early childhood programs. National accreditation organizations require early childhood program administrators to complete at least 9 credits, or a minimum of 144 clock hours, in the areas of administration, management, and leadership of early childhood education.
