Course programme
Transform your existing qualifications into a full honours degree in just one year, and open up a world of career opportunities. Use your new skills to help you in your current job, to apply for a more senior position, or to continue into postgraduate study.
This one-year top-up course lets you build on your previous qualifications and experience in the early years sector. At the end of the year you’ll graduate with a full BSc (Hons) degree.
Here at University Centre Harlow, you’ll enjoy practical exercises and seminars which address the latest issues in childcare. You’ll learn about the relationships between early childhood, public policy, and the way services are provided to families. You’ll explore the link between theory and practice and how, when they’re used together, they benefit the early childhood sector.
The course will encourage you to develop your analytical and investigative skills. You’ll learn to spot where change is needed in the workplace, and to instigate it – something very much valued by employers.
Our class sizes are quite small, and you’ll receive teaching and support from helpful tutors who want to see you succeed. We’ll encourage you to become independent and organised in your work, but also to practise your teamworking as part of small study groups. One-to-one and group tutorials will provide you with regular feedback and help you to reach your potential.
